Welcome to my little piece of the internet.
I've written for print publications, blogs and websites; shot photos, filmed and produced videos; recorded and engineered podcasts; and built multimedia projects.
Have a look around.
Here's a sampling of some of that work.
This video was produced in 2018 for a levy campaign for Upper Arlington City Schools. It was designed to summerize the top talking points for passing a ballot issue to build and renovate six of the nine schools in the district.
The video was produced on the biteable platform.
During the first round of the 2016 Memorial Tournament, Phil Mickelson's drive on No. 15 went wide right, striking a marshal in the head and shooting across the fairway from one rough to the other.
In the media center later, Mickelson talked about the mishap -- and the marshal's reaction -- on this short video, shot and edited on an iPhone and posted to Dispatch.com from the field.
Here's an episode of a new project I helped the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center put together. It launched in early 2020.
This episode features John Williamson, one of Ohio State’s certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioners, a recovering addict himself, who discusses the significance of healthcare workers arming themselves with empathy in caring for patients struggling with substance abuse.

Here's an episode of the long-running Cannon Fodder podcast, my last as a web producer at Dispatch.com.
I recorded and produced more than 200 episodes of the show beginning in 2007. At that time, Dispatch.com was hosting six podcasts, including GameOn!, a podcast about video games, which I also co-hosted.
You can find more listings for Dispatch.com podcasts on iTunes.
This is one of several interactive timelines I built as a web producer on the Dispatch.com web team. Users can see the significant events in the history of the NHL club -- from the day the city was awarded a team through the naming of the latest coach.
The project incorporates text, graphics, images and video, brought together using timeline.js software.
Because of a change in the site's content management system, links to the live timeline aren't working right now.
This flash graphic was developed for Dispatch.com during the 2012 presidential campaign. As candidates made stops in Ohio -- a key battleground that year -- a new entry was made on the map.
Each red or blue dot (for GOP and Democratic candidates) was then linked to information on that visit, which could include photos, video and links to coverage of the event posted on Dispatch.com
The graphic took second place in multimedia in the 2012 Ohio Associated Press comptition.
During four decades in the news business, I filed countless stories, far more than I could ever list. Here are a few clips.
